Each starter or feeder slides out on its own, so a faulty unit can be swapped while the rest of the board stays in service. The usual choice where a motor cannot wait for a shutdown.

What are forms of separation?
They are set in IEC 61439-2 and describe how the inside of a board is divided. Form 1 has no internal separation. Form 2 separates the busbars from the functional units. Form 3 also separates each unit from the others. Form 4 also separates the outgoing terminals of each unit. Each form from 2 to 4 has an a and a b version.
Which form of separation do I need?
The one on your specification. Higher forms let more of the board stay live while one part is worked on, and cost more to build. If the specification does not say, tell us how the board will be used and we suggest one.
What IP rating does my panel need?
It depends on where the board goes. The IP code in IEC 60529 gives two digits: the first for dust and solids, the second for water. A board in a clean, dry electrical room needs less protection than one outdoors or in a dusty plant. Tell us where it goes, or the IP rating on your specification.
What do you need to quote a panel board?
The single-line diagram, the form of separation and IP rating, and the switchgear brand on your specification. If there are limits on the size of the board or where the cables come in, send those too.
Fixed or withdrawable MCC?
Withdrawable units slide out, so a faulty starter can be swapped while the rest of the board stays in service. Fixed units are bolted in and cost less, for boards that can be shut down for maintenance. Tell us which your specification calls for.
Do you deliver panel boards outside Jeddah?
Yes. We deliver across Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh, Dammam, Jubail, Makkah, Madinah, Tabuk and Abha. Tell us where the board is going when you send your diagram.
